Emm. Kriaras’ Will

On September 4, 2014, a few days after his death (August 22, 2014) Emm. Kriaras’ will (no: 24,604/26-9-2011) was made public, in which the following, among other things, are stipulated: ‘To the Institute of Modern Greek Studies (Manolis Triandaphyllidis Foundation) of the University of Thessaloniki I bequeath my entire library (scientific and other). Manuscripts of complete and incomplete studies of mine, folders containing photocopies of small studies and folders with photocopies of reviews of my work.’ Emm. Kriaras appointed Sotirios Dedes, Athanasios Kaisis and Dimitris Lipourlis as his will executors (the latter declined on health grounds). In their September 24, 2014 meeting, the Institute’s Board of Directors accepted the offer and, according to the stipulations of the will, a representative of the Institute attended to the matter and carried the bequeathed material to our premises in the period from December 3, 2014 to April 6, 2015.
